We look back with pride and satisfaction on X-Net's long-awaited 22nd anniversary celebration on May 13, 2022, and still can't quite believe that around 300 companions celebrated this special event with us!
What a special Friday the 13th! Everything went well and the Steamboat Schönbrunn is safe and sound, diligently making its rounds on the Danube! We were able to spend more than 12 hours on board the beautiful steamboat with many of our companions.

The location
We owe the choice of location to an impressive childhood experience of company founder Nikolaus Dürk. In the mid-1970s, Niki spent an afternoon with his father on the Schönbrunn steamboat. Both the trip and the view into the engine room remain so vivid in his memory that the choice quickly fell on the Schönbrunn, which is now “based” in Linz. To get you in the mood for an unforgettable experience, here are a few impressions of the Schönbrunn steamboat: built in 1912/1913, the Schönbrunn is the only survivor of more than 300 steamers that sailed under the flag of the DDSG, the oldest shipping company on the Danube, founded in 1829.
